DEUTERONOMY INTRO COMING SOON
I’ve just received the introduction to Deuteronomy from Stuart Weir (a St Silas guy doing his PhD at International Christian College), which I’ll be publishing in the next few days. It’s a very helpful, succinct primer, so look out for that one when it arrives.
Watching the readership stats of the blog over the last fortnight, there was a spike as around 30-40 people logged in on the 19th after the email update was sent round. Other than that, we tend to get around 15-20 views when a new post arrives. 5-10 visits on “no-news” days.
I’m not trying to read into those figures too much, but it’s a way of checking how many people are involved in following the blog, so, to a lesser degree, it maybe gives me an idea of how many people are keeping up with their readings.
I know that people are encouraged to hear of how others in the group are doing. Success stories give us hope, failure stories reassure us when we fail ourselves, so please feel free to add your own experiences to the blog. I’d like to invite people to consider writing me a wee email to share a reflection on their readings over the past while. This would take the format of answering three questions:
1. How has your bible reading been going?
2. Which readings have you found particularly useful/difficult?
3. Do you have any advice or encouragement for others in the B2Y group?
This is not just for those who are doing well, but also those who are struggling.
So if you’d like to help contribute to the forum in this way, please EMAIL me your answer to those three questions at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I’ll publish them as blog posts for the benefit of the group.
