Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary was asked about his experience of reading at the 2010 Resolved conference. He was a self-confessed nerdy kid.
What are your feelings about reading? Before attempting the B2Y, did you find yourself a natural reader? I know people who struggle with the very act of reading, whether through learning difficulties or disability, or lack of practice, time or interest. I’m a fairly keen reader myself, but I wouldn’t want it to be assumed that everyone finds it just as straightforward to read and comprehend scripture. (not that I’m saying I find it easy!)
So all I’m saying is don’t worry if your level of reading is not as good as you want it to be. Be encouraged – persevere and develop the skill, because God intends to use it for a thoroughly worthwhile end: your transformation.
